The regular season is now complete. 7 Wins vs 3 losses. It’s a pretty good record, but there is certainly a bad taste in our mouth. When you lose to the crosstown rival, in the way that we did, it just don’t sit right.
There are many people on the SouthSide of London that sponsor our games, support our team, make contributions, and come to the games. We have to do a better job of winning when they show up at Gilliam Stadium. We have to commit to win in that crosstown rival game. It’s important to our program, and all the young Cardinals that are coming up.
The ”Open Week” gives us a chance to get back to fundamentals, and truly get a good focus on our first round playoff opponent. We will get back on track. We will get back to the practice field and polish some things that we need to work on. It’s a chance to slow down just a bit, and really focus on some things. It’s a chance to put in a good set of practices in preparation for our first playoff opponent.
Its always exciting to look forward into the playoffs. The playoffs show you just how good of a team you really have. Are we good enough to truly be a top 10 team? Do we dare squeeze into the top five? Or do we show that we’re still a few years away from really playing with the “Big Dawgs.” It’s gonna be a great challenge.……come on join us.
