“…Leave No Doubt….”

With the Awards Ceremony conclusion, on Sunday the 14th of December, #Team56 has been officially retired.  A brand-new addition of the South Laurel Football “Cardinals” is set to take shape.

The 2026 football season will be the 57th year of high school football at South Laurel (once called Laurel County) High. As the new year strikes upon us, so does the new team.

The torch has been passed. The standards have been raised. Never again, will South Laurel hold the same expectations for their football program. The challenge for #Team57, is simply to  #LeaveNoDoubt….

#LeaveNoDoubt that we belong. Last year’s 9 win season made #Team56 the 3rd greatest team in school history.  That season put our program in the upper echelon of teams in the 606. This year’s team will have to, #LeaveNoDoubt that that was not a fluke. They have to #LeaveNoDoubt that we belong at this level. They have to #LeaveNoDoubt, that you don’t wanna schedule us as your homecoming opponent. #LeaveNoDoubt that opponents do not look forward to coming to the South Side of London and playing at “the Gilliam”  #LeaveNoDoubt, that South Laurel football is now,… Just plain different.

We are looking forward to the official start of our off-season training program in January. It’s an opportunity to train and develop our team physically as we work towards spring practice in April. Gonna be a fun ride South nation, get on board. You need to #LeaveNoDoubt who you’re pulling for!
