Week 9 - Southwestern Warriors

Comebacks. The world of sports is littered with them. Teams that were supposed to be down and out, after a big emotional loss, but pull themselves up and begin to play at a higher level. Alabama this season is one example. After the first loss, the “noise” can be loud. “Overrated.” “Not as good as advertised,”  “Haven’t played anybody.” “Now we see the real team,” are some of the things you hear. As a “Team,” you have to decide what you are going to do. 

The decision is to quit, lay down, and just finish up the season…..Or… decide to Comeback….It shows the true character of the team. #Team56 has to make that choice….

District game number two happens Friday night at Gilliam Stadium. 7:30 kick off, the team takes on the “Warriors” of Southwestern. South Laurel has only beaten Southwestern one time….. Ever …But it really isn’t about winning or losing. It’s about “Character.”  Our “Character.”  Will we do what it takes, to make a Comeback?  Or is #Team56, ranked in the top-10 in Kentucky (5A), going to fold up the tent and mail it in…?
