The Cardinals traveled to Harlan County two years ago and won for the first time (at Harlan County) in the history of the program. (So there is a way to get out of Harlan County alive.…).  The 4-1 Cardinals will make the trip to Harlan County this coming Friday night. The ”Black Bears” will surely be prepared to give their best effort. 

If you’ve never made the trip to Harlan County to see a high school football game, you are truly missing a treat. Coal Miners Stadium on the campus of Harlan County High School, I think, is the prettiest high school football stadium in the state of Kentucky. It’s one of the best I’ve ever seen anywhere, and probably my personal favorite to play in. (Other than The Gilliam!!!) 

The Cardinals will make the trip through the mountains Friday night looking to add win number 5 to the season. Harlan County is a very explosive football team, with a dual threat QB that can score from anywhere on the field. They are big and strong upfront, and play a very aggressive defense. It’s a road trip you won’t wanna miss.

So come and take the picturesque drive down through the mountains to the wonderful town of Harlan, and take in the ”Black Bears,”and the ”Cardinals“ in a big matchup this coming Friday night.
