PRE-SEASON

Summer is over! Back to school. The 2026 Cardinal football season is at hand.

The first “Pre-Season” game takes place on August 7, at Danville. the following

week, August 14, the Cardinals will play their second preseason game at home

against the Hazard ”Bulldogs.”

It is the traditional, “Meet The Cardinals” game, on August 14. Its a showcase of

all fall sports, introductions of all the teams, and then highlighted by the football

game between the Cardinals and the Bulldogs. The Cardinals will also recognize a

very special group of Seniors before kickoff.

The 2026 season began back in January. The Off-Season Program was a success in

building strength and speed in our players. Spring Practice was a grand success as

well. We have had Speed Training work, summer “Mini-Camp” work, and a very

strong Training Camp.” now it’s time for football.

As the season gets underway, we encourage you to make plans to come and be

with the Cardinals every Friday night. Let’s pack Gilliam Stadium on the home

nights, and let’s take the biggest crowd we’ve ever taken to the visiting games.
