SOUTHWESTERN PULASKI WARRIORS

After losing a big district game, the Cardinals have now dropped to 6-2.  The loss drops us to 0-1 in the district, with two more district games coming up the next two weeks. We will travel to Southwestern to take on the ”Warriors” on Friday night. Last season, was the very first win ever for South Laurel over Southwestern, so we are looking to extend that streak.

Our young football team still has a lot to learn. It’s very frustrating when, on the biggest stage of the season so far, we played our worst game. We have to grow and mature into a team that will play our best when the lights are the brightest. And over the next two weeks, the lights are definitely, the brightest.

Southwestern is a very strong team with a lot of speed. They have hired a whole new coaching staff this off-season and are in a complete rebuild. However, their explosiveness makes them scary. As well as having good preparation this week, we have to pick our heads up, and be able to rebound from a loss. We’re certainly not used to losing around here in the last few years, and don’t ever wanna get used to it, but it is a learning experience to learn how to pick yourself up and move on.

So come make the trip to South Somerset with us this Friday night.  We need the 12th man support of CardinalNation, as we take on the Warriors at The Reservation.
